Packed Full O’Fun
December 5, 2009
What an exciting day we had, so full of fun stuff and constant movement. I like days like this. So first I started off with my Saturday morning long run. I only did 6 miles this morning. I was planning on doing 8 miles but didn’t think I’d make it in time to my 10:00AM hair appointment, so I cut it short at 6 miles. I’ll run 4 miles tomorrow to make up for it. Normally I don’t run on Sunday but I need to take my running up a notch. My half marathon is right around the corner, in February – and if I look the time frame in weeks, well it’s not that far off.
After my run I went straight to my hair appointment where I proceeded to get purple hair. Yes, you read that right. Purple. It’s no neon or electric purple but it is subtle. I prefer it to be more purple than it turned out to be and in a few weeks I will go back and get it that way. We have decided that I will have to strip my hair down to NO color (or very little color) and then put the purple dye in it. When we do that, though, it won’t be all over but we will do “highlights” instead.
Once I had my purple hair I had to come home and shower – cause you know, I had jut run 6 miles before that and I was starting to reek. The Girl and I were going to go out to a friend’s home where she was having a direct selling open house. She had someone from Dove chocolate, a jewelry person, Southern Living, memory keepers scrap booking, and Mary Kay. We had a great time and I enjoyed meeting everyone. I have embraced meeting new people now. I like it. I’m ordered a Christmas present for someone from the Souther Living lady, I talked to the Dove chocolate gal and we are going to set up a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and my half marathon. I’m looking forward to the fundraiser, it sounds like a lot of fun.
Moving on from the open house we headed over to the mall where I bought a new pair of jeans and a sweater. I wore them to the company Christmas party. In years past we have had the company Christmas party at a private club where we all had to dress up. While dressing up is fun it was nice just to go hang out with everyone in a more casual and relaxing atmosphere; one of the boss’s house. I think everyone had fun, especially when the prizes came out!
And then we came home and now I’m blogging.
Thanks for reading and much love,
