Begging Again

Today, I ran 8 miles. Yes, that’s right – 8 miles.

Listen, I am still running, I am still not smoking, I’m still training for half marathon, and I still need your help with contributions.
On November 10th I filled out my re-commitment forms and mailed them to headquarters. What does that mean you ask? It means I am really going to do this thing. It means I have had several months to back out. I have had several months to say, “forget this and I’m going back to smoking cigarettes.” Well, those several months have come and gone for me to come to my senses, change my mind, and back out. I am now in this thing for real.
It also means that if I don’t come up with my goal of $1,800.00 through fundraising that it will come out of my own pocket. Right now I am at 57% of my goal. What can you do to help? Well any amount will be helpful of course. You could also help spread the word and my website where they can easily (and safely) contribute online.

Yeah, you can click on that button and it will take you to my Team in Training donation page. It is over there that I also update a blog from time to time, catching everyone up on my training.
Anyway, I’ll be doing a lot more of this asking for help sort of thing between now and January 28th.
